Why a Blog?

The Prescott Computer Guy Blog is here to serve a couple of purposes:

1. I want to be proactive about answering questions. When I hear a lot of people asking what the difference is between their harddrive and their RAM, I want to be able to point them to a source where the question is already answered.
2. I want to be reactive. If you have a question you would like answered, please ask! Sometimes it might be something which is best answered in email, but other times I might write a blog post and point you to it. That way, instead of just one person benefiting, multiple people can.

The blog will cover a variety if computer related topics: some focused on novices, some focused on more advanced users. Topic will range from general troubleshooting techniques to application usage to suggestions on best ways you can post information to the web. Sometimes I might merely highlight other resources I know about, though when I do so I will generally also offer a review and my “take” on the ideas I point to.
